Uriri TVC Recruitment Drive Nets Over 1000 Students

A recruitment drive by Uriri Technical And Vocational Centre has gotten over 600 students in Uriri constituency, school principal Jared Ogot has said.

The week long recruitment drive was run per ward to ensure more students were reached with the initiative sponsored by area Mp Mark Nyamita.

Ogot was speaking at Ong’er in Nyatike where a similar recruitment drive was sponsored by Eng. Shadrack Anyuo.

Ogot encouraged the students not to shy from begining their post secondary education at artisan level.

He said their dreams of advancing their education were very possible, with Ogot giving an example of the current Mawego TVC principal, whom he said began at artisan level.

The TVC began operations barely three years ago and is on an agreesive move to ensure maximum admission of students to the youngest tertiary college in the county.

The principal said the institution will ensure the students recruited in the drive are rightly place by KUCCPS and thereafter begin classes imediately.

He said they will also assist the students to access relevant fundings to ensure smooth education journey at the institution.

In the Nyatike drive, Uriri TVC received over 400 students in the first day, where the second drive was to take place in Muhuru ward.
