Migori Youth’s Elly Owande Signs UAE Pro League side Al Nasr

Kenya U-23, former Solidarity Boys and Migori Youth winger/attacking midfielder Elly Owande (Lefty) secured a 3-year contract with UAE Pro League side Al Nasr.

Elly joined Migori Youth Academy at the age of nine years.

He showed great performances in a 3-week trial, where he netted 2 goals in friendly matches, Elly has earned his spot at the club, which is overseen by former Ajax head coach Alfred Schreuder.

Below is a message he wrote on his facebook page when he was signed.

“Dear MYTA Family and Chairman Abdi Aziz Osman,

I want to express my deepest appreciation for all you have done for me since I joined the club at the age of 9. Your unwavering support, mentorship, and belief in me have been invaluable. You not only nurtured my talent on the field but also ensured I had the opportunity to pursue my education.

Now, as I embark on a new chapter , I carry with me the lessons, values, and experiences I’ve gained at Migori Youth Football Club . Thank you for being the foundation of my journey. I am forever grateful.
